Fascia is a breathtakingly beautiful network of tissue that connects every part
of our body, physical and subtle.
Every move we make and every emotion we feel, is recorded and remembered by the fascia. In this way it forms the shapes of our bodies and creates our
unique movement patterns as we go through life.
In time these can either remain fluid and adaptive and allow us to continue
to experience freedom of movement, or sometimes restrict us.
The fascial maneuvers are a hands on self care practice that allow us to
release our restrictions.
'Main' meaning 'Hand' and 'Oeuvre' 'to Open'. We use our hands to open up the places that may have become tight, painful, inflamed, or dehydrated and thereby restore flow, promote healing  and expand our range of movement.

Circles and Spirals

The fascial maneuvers complement and combine beautifully with flowing movement and are woven into the mandala practices. The body is built in spirals and loves to move like this, both to unravel knotted and taut tissue, and build strength and resilience. We harness the power of the coil to realign and restore

the spring in our step.

Slowing down

These practices have deep and lasting effects, and remind us to give ourselves time... when we do the maneuvers we are inviting the tissue and the nervous system to go slow, in this way, around 4cm a second, our body feels safe to unwind and let go of our armouring. After which performance, clarity, and range of motion are enhanced.

Human Garage Certified Coaches

The inspiration for the maneuvers came from the Human Garage, initially a hands on physical therapy practice in LA which evolved into a global movement that teaches people to heal themselves. Certified coaches have completed hundreds of hours of training and mentoring and lead classes and one to one sessions.
